The fast progressions, like the Martingale where you double your bet on every loss are great. However with a relatively short losing streak your bankroll will get devastated quickly or you will hit the table limit.
To slow the progression you can decrease the size of your bet increase. The Fibonacci does this quite well. However this doesn't allow you to win all your losses back in one bet like the Martingale does. It takes two wins after your losses to get back.
Another way to slow down your progression is to go up on losses by a single unit. This can be the same size as your original bet or a portion of your bet. So if your first bet has to be $100 you can increase your bet by $10 each time.
Whenever you slow down your progression you slow down your losses and your winnings.
