Critical Table Limit Options

 What are Table Limits? $10/$100

The first number is the minimum bet on the table and the second number is the maximum bet on the table.  So on a $10/$100 table the minimum bet you can make is $10.  All the bets on the inside must add up to the minimum.  Often each of the outside bets need to be at least the minimum.  This can vary from Casino to Casino.  I suggest you ask before betting if you are at a live table.

Inside vs Outside Roulette Bets

The inside bets are on any single number and pays 35-1, split (two numbers) pays 17-1, street (three numbers) pays 11 to 1,  Corner or Square Bet (four numbers) pays 8 to 1 , Six Line or Double Street (six numbers) pays 5 to 1.

The Outside bets are on the Dozens, Columns, and Snake bets (12 numbers) which pay 2 to 1, and High/Low, Odd/Even, and Red/Black which pay 1 to 1.  The snake bet is rarely available.

How Maximum Bets were Instituted

There is an old story about Monaco and a Saudi Prince.  The tables in Monaco at the time did not have an upper limit.  They had a minimum bet of $1 or something.

The Saudi Prince came to  Monaco with a couple of suitcases full of money.  He put $1000 on the first dozen.  Every time he lost he doubled his bet.  With a nearly unlimited bankroll he kept doubling when he lost and then he won.  He broke the Casino.  If you have unlimited funds and no upper limit by the casino you can be guaranteed to win.  Otherwise either your bankroll or the Table Maximum will keep you from doubling until you win.  This is the Martingale Progression.  The casinos quickly put upper limits on all their tables to thwart this strategy.

Upper Table Limit can be critical.

At all tables you will see a Minimum/Maximum bet.  With any progression you run eventually you will run out of the upper limit.  You will also run out of your bankroll, depending on how fast your progression increases and the size of your bankroll.

$10/100 Table vs $10/200 Roulette Table

While it may not look like a big difference these two different table limits make a huge difference to me.  With a $10 progression starting at a $50 bet you only have five losses until you hit the table limit Maximum on a $10/$100 table.  With a $10 progression and a $100 maximum and a $50 first bet you will still only have nine losses until you hit the table maximum.

I want to have room for at least eleven losses in a row.  Yes this will take a large bankroll but I do not want to run out of bank roll or upper table limit in my progression.

On a $10/100 table I would only run a $5 progression.

Table Limits on Live vs Electronic wheel.

A live wheel has an operator spinning the wheel and paying out the winnings.
An electronic wheel does not have an operator but may have an automated wheel or it may have electronically generated numbers with payouts paid electronically.
I have also seen where there will be an operator spinning the wheel but the bets and payouts are all done electronically.  In this case one operator can handle as many players as there are monitors.

Table Limit Changes

Many casinos will have different table limits during the week than on weekends.  Usually the minimum bet will be significantly higher on weekends and when the casino is busy.
Electronic wheels usually will have much wider table limits.  I have seen them as wide a $1/$5000.  Most live wheels on the main floor will have narrow limits like $10/$100 or $10/$200.

High Limit Rooms

In Las Vegas the High Limit Rooms will often have a single zero wheel.  These tables will usually have a $100 minimum bet and often a $100 minimum on each outside bet.
