Law of Thirds for Roulette

One of the axioms of this approximate law is that in 37 spins 23 or 24 different numbers will hit with 10 doubles and two or three hit 3 times.

Get a notebook and track the numbers that hit.  Have a sheet of paper with 38 numbers on it.  What we are looking for is doubles, triples, quads etc.  Start with first number hit and put a one after that number on your chart.  Put a 2 after the second number hit and continue counting.  If the Roulette wheel has a display showing what has hit I start with the oldest hit and start recording.    When the first number to hit twice comes up focus your Dozen/Column bet on that number.

Dozen Column Bet

We are going to put a bet on a Dozen and a bet on a Column.  The intersection of those bets is where you win on both bets.  This will be four numbers where you win both column and dozen bets.    This intersection is to be over your first double or triple hit number.

   

Starting Bet and Increments 

For your Starting Bet add three increments to the minimum bet. So if you have a $10 minimum bet and your increment is $5 then your starting bet would be $25 on the dozen and the column.  

d'Alembert Progression 

With each loss add two increments to both bets.  With each win decrease both bets by one increment.
This should progress fairly well.  Where you win big is when you hit a number that is both a column and a dozen number.

If you win down to the Minimum Table bet you are well up and you can call it a day or you can start a new session.  

Maximum Table Bet

There are some tables with narrow betting limits.  I have seen $10/$100 tables.  What this means is the minimum bet is $10 and the maximum bet is $100.  I would only use a $5 increment on a table with this limit.  You will run out of the ability to increase your bets quickly on a $10/$100 table.  

This betting system will take a big bankroll as you want to be able to stay in the game if you lose at least seven if not ten in a row.  Keeping the increment small will help. 

Reset to Your Original Bet Size

You can reset any time you want.  However if you are well ahead of your starting cash and the system still has you betting larger than you are comfortable don't hesitate to back to your starting bet.

Increment Size

Increment Size is quite important.  Normally using one half the minimum bet size or the minimum bet size will work best.  If you go with a smaller increment it will take a lot of chops (one loss, two wins) to make up for the house edge.

Another Betting Strategy that is almost the same.

You can bet on Four double streets.  Overlap one double street over your first number that has hit twice.  This will give you three home run numbers vs four home run numbers when you bet one column and one dozen.  The column/dozen bet will win on twenty numbers.  The four double street with one overlap will win on twenty one numbers.
